How to Keep Tabs on Delayed Construction Projects

The effects of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic continue to be felt across every industry. This is especially true in the world of construction, where, in the United States alone, there are more than 8,100 delayed projects as of the writing of this article.

We understand that construction delays can significantly impact your business. Fortunately, there’s now an easy way to stay up-to-date on the status of construction projects across the US and Canada. Construct Connect has an interactive map you can use to monitor projects that are delayed, pushed back, or outright canceled.

How It Works

The map, which is updated daily, is broken down by state or province. You can click on a state to see the total number of delayed projects, as well as the change over the previous day. From there, you can click to see a breakdown of the projects. Some states are broken down into smaller sections, instead of showing a statewide view.

For example, in New York, there are currently 613 delayed projects, which are broken down by the following regions:

  • Hudson Valley
  • Long Island
  • Nassau Suffolk
  • Western
  • New York City
  • Statewide

If you click into “New York City,” you’ll see a PDF list with details about each project. From there, you can choose projects to watch and elect to receive automatic updates about them on your phone, desktop, or tablet.

Check out the interactive Delayed Projects Report here. We hope this helps give you more valuable insight into the project delays that most impact your business.
